Leathers and Materials

Selected for elegance, durability, and timeless character.

At Atern Goods, every piece begins with the material. We source only good-quality, ethically obtained hides and complementary materials to ensure durability, elegance, and timeless character. From full-grain Italian leather to high-end Italian edge paints, each element is carefully chosen to honour traditional craftsmanship while meeting modern expectations. The result is not just a product, but a story written into leather.

The Leathers
We work exclusively with ethically sourced hides. These come from LWG-certified tanneries from India, Italy and Japan. Ranging from your timeless black full-grain leather to Cordovan's Metta Catharina strips, we work with a variety of good-quality leathers — explore the collection.
The Threads
Choosing the right threads ensures your straps last longer while maintaining a classy appearance. As our straps are hand-stitched, we only work with fine linen and polyester threads from the best thread makers in the industry. Pick your favourite threads for that classic tone-on-tone or sporty contrast look!
The Buckles
As watch enthusiasts ourselves, we understand the importance of a buckle to complete the overall look. Hence, we give you a healthy amount of options when it comes to choosing your buckles. From polished deployant clasps to brushed tang buckle — all high-quality stainless steel in silver, gold and rose gold finishes.
The Binders
These are the materials that hold the layers together. From specialised leather glue to Tokonole, from Columbus edge wax to Fenice edge paints, we source our leather supplies from the best, because you deserve the best!
The Tools
The most important of all, which enables everything, are the tools. We are a fan of the fine makers from Japan and prefer their precision tools — from edge bevelers to skiving knives. Because, as they say, a sharp knife is a safe knife!
